DRP continued the xmas party weekend at Club Excess, on Dunlap and 8th street. This was my first time there and I have mixed feelings about this place. I like its cozy atmosphere but I think it's too small for a "rave" party unless the promoters WANT to keep the crowd small. I heard the total capacity was only 250 and they kept a lot of people outside in the cold for a long time.

In the main room DJ Tyge was spinning mostly house and techno which was good to hear again (I miss the Riverbottom days). Upstairs in the smoky VIP room Ariel and David were spinning d&b and breakbeats. Not many people were dancing tonight. I guess they were still recovering from Saturday night. But there was a break dance circle for a while and many dancers showed off their talent.

I was a little tired too and left around 1 am. Despite its small size, I did enjoy going to a new venue. This would be a great place to throw small parties for new comer promoters, if the price is right.

HIS WAS MY FIRST "PARTY" AND I HAD A HELLA GOOD TIME.IT WAS LAYED BACK,BUT THE VIBE WAS GOOD AND EVERYONE WAS SOOOO NICE. I thought that I could've had fun that night but whoever said that it was all ages (the phone line and the flyer) lied and I got stuck outside rollin balls. Yippie!

yo the people with the venue need to quit changing there minds every 5 minutes about their prices. i worked at the door most of the night., but inside looked packed. SOO MANY HAPPY PEOPLE. and even thought there were a few compalaints, i think DRP pulled off a dope party there. oh by the way.. only 20 people are allowed upstairs the owners said how nmany were up there.hhahahahahaaa see ya at the next one
